Attentat déjoué contre le plus grand centre juif de Lagos

Les forces de sécurité du Nigeria ont annoncé avoir arreté trois personnes appartenant à une cellule terroriste liée à l'Iran, qui se préparait à commettre des attentats contre des cibles israéliennes et juives.
 Le groupe aurait prévu notamment de s'en prendre au plus grand centre juif de la capitale du Nigeria, Lagos, à la compagnie maritime israélienne Zim, et à des agences américaines de développement.
La sécurité nigériane serait à la recherche d'un quatrième homme qui aurait réussi à prendre la fuite.
Le chef du groupe, Abdullahi Berende, un musulman chiite de 50 ans a été arrêté après six mois de surveillance.
Selon la police, c'est Berende en personne qui aurait pris plusieurs dizaines de photos du centre communautaire de Lagos avant de les expédier à des contacts iraniens.
Berende s'est rendu en Iran pour la première fois en Iran en 2006, officiellement pour y faire des études; il y est retourné à plusieurs reprises et a subi un entrainement au maniement des explosifs en 2011.
De nombreux israéliens résident au Nigeria pour leurs affaires et la coopération économique entre le Nigeria et Israël est assez intense, notamment dans le domaine de la sécurité.
En 2010, sur la base d'informations israéliennes, le Nigeria avait saisi un bateau iranien qui transférait illégalement des armes dans le pays, probablement aux groupes islamistes.

Ansaru, le groupe islamiste qui a enlevé mardi une famille française dans la zone du nord Cameroun, proche de la frontière du Nigeria est une faction de Boko Haram.
Au Nigeria, on estime que la présence juive remonte à plus de 2500 ans, probablement dès après la destruction du premier Temple de Jérusalem; on compte environ 40 000 juifs dans le pays aujourd'hui.

Security forces in Nigeria have announced stopped three persons belonging to a terrorist cell linked to Iran, which was preparing to commit attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets.
The group would include planned to attack the largest Jewish center in the capital of Nigeria, Lagos, the Israeli shipping company Zim, and U.S. agencies for development.
Nigerian security would be looking for a fourth man who had managed to flee.
The group's leader, Abdullahi Berende, a Shia Muslim 50 years was arrested after six months of surveillance.
According to the police, it is Berende in person would have taken dozens of photos of Lagos community center before sending to contacts in Iran.
