HISTOIRE DE L' INTERNET...

AVEC GERARD DIACONESCO

Nous sommes en 1995 à Nice et pour la plupart des gens le nouveau "Médium" INTERNET est encore complètement inconnu du grand public, mis à par les Grands Centres de Recherches Technologiques et les Grandes Universités Françaises qui commencent à se servir de ce nouvel outil informatique de la communication et du savoir inventé en cette deuxième partie du XXe siècle par les américains pour les besoins militaires et de défense des Etats-Unis.

A cette époque de ma vie professionnelle de journaliste en cette fin de XXe siècle, bien qu'ayant pianoté sur un clavier informatique en découvrant "Windows 95" le premier logiciel phare de BILL GATES pour Microsoft, et n'étant pas un ingénieur informaticien, mais ayant de vagues connaissances informatiques, je n'avais pratiquement jamais entendu parler de l'INTERNET en France.

Mais tout va changer pour moi à cette époque charnière de ma vie, car je vais rencontrer par le plus grand des hasards lors d'un séminaire artistique qu'autant scientifique sur les premiers explorateurs du "Cybermonde", le professeur titulaire de la Chaire de l'esthétique de la communication et des arts plastiques de l'Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, FRED FOREST, l'organisateur en titre des premiers séminaires INTERNET à l'auditorium du MAMAC depuis 1994.

Enthousiasmé dès le début par ce "séminaire FRED FOREST" et voué corps et âme à ce séminaire, je deviens dès son début le "collaborateur" et "l'organisateur" de toutes les manifestations et séminaires de FRED FOREST pour le seconder dans sa tâche Universitaire à Nice.

Cette première aventure INTERNET avec FRED FOREST qui deviendra par la suite au fil du temps mon plus grand ami dans l'art, la Culture et la Communication, durera à Nice jusqu'à l'aube du XXIe siècle, car dans " la belle endormie " qu'était la ville de Nice à cette époque, les "Politiques" d'alors n'ont pas su retenir FRED FOREST ici dans notre beau Comté de Nice, ils ont été complètement dépassés par un Homme visionnaire de notre avenir technologique, et mon ami FRED FOREST est parti de Nice et s'est marié virtuellement sur la toile du NET à ISSY-LES-MOLINEAUX tout en demeurant depuis 1999 à PARIS.

Entre temps dès 1997 FRED FOREST est invité à Paris pour lancer dans le cadre du Ministère de la Culture la future "Fête de l'INTERNET" voulu à cette époque par le Gouvernement de Lionel JOSPIN pour essayer de rattraper le retard qu'avait la FRANCE dans ce domaine de la haute technologie de l'informatique par rapport à d'autres pays Européens, et dont les Etats-Unis restaient le "leader-ship" à cette époque... depuis l'INTERNET s'est banalisé sur la planète toute entière en reliant plusieurs milliards d'hommes entre-eux !

En décembre 1997 FRED FOREST me fait monter à Paris comme on dit, et je rentre dans le cercle encore assez restreint des pionniers "Internautes" décideurs et organisateurs de la "Fête de l'Internet" programmée tous les débuts de chaque année au printemps en FRANCE ( nous en sommes à sa 15 ème année en 2013 ) !

Volant de mes propres ailes à Nice, FRED FOREST étant maintenant à Paris, je créé pour la circonstance dès l'an 2000 l' Association Culturelle "DIACOCYBER" non seulement pour l'organisation de la Fête de l'INTERNET, mais aussi pour promouvoir en région PACA les nouvelles technologies qui se développent autour du NET !

Cette aventure avec "DIACOCYBER" durera jusqu'en 2006, car malheureusement pour des raisons financières mon équipe et moi-même seront contraints après la Fête de l'INTENET du printemps 2006 de dissoudre "DIACOCYBER", les subventions des pouvoirs publics ayant été diminuées pour ne pas dire purement et simplement "sucrées" à "DIACOCYBER", merci aux politiques d'alors ...

Mais fort heureusement l'aventure INTERNET ne s'arrêtera pas là, et cette fois-ci sans l'aide logistique et financière des "Politiques" qui depuis toujours ici en région niçoise ont fait la sourde oreille aussi bien à FRED FOREST qu'à moi-même, je continue grace à l'aide d'amis artistes locaux et de quelques bénévoles comme moi, à promouvoir avec nos modestes moyens la Fête de l'INTERNET chaque année à Nice et pour la région de la PACA.

We are in Nice in 1995 and for most people the new "Medium" INTERNET is still completely unknown to the general public, making the Great Centres of Technological Research and the Great French Universities that are beginning to use this new tool communication and knowledge invented in the second half of the twentieth century by the U.S. for military and defense of the United States.

At this time of my career as a journalist in the late twentieth century, although tapping on a computer keyboard discovering "Windows 95" the first flagship software for Microsoft BILL GATES, and not being a computer engineer, waves but having computer knowledge, I had hardly ever heard of the INTERNET in France.

But everything changed for me at this juncture of my life, because I will meet with the greatest chance at a seminar on scientific artistic so many early explorers of "Cyberspace", Professor Chair of aesthetics and communication arts at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, FRED FOREST, as the organizer of the first seminar in the auditorium of INTERNET MAMAC since 1994.

Enthused by this early "seminar FRED FOREST" and devoted body and soul to this seminar, I get from the beginning the "collaborator" and "organizer" of all events and seminars FRED FOREST to assist it in its task Nice university.

This first adventure with INTERNET FRED FOREST which will eventually become over time my greatest friend in Art, Culture and Communication, Nice to last until the turn of the century, as in "The Sleeping Beauty "Nice town, as at that time," Policies "of the time were unable to retain FRED FOREST here in our beautiful county of Nice, they were overwhelmed by a man visionary of our technological future, and FRED FOREST my friend went to Nice and married virtually on canvas NET ISSY-LES-MOLINEAUX while remaining in PARIS since 1999.

Meanwhile in 1997 FRED FOREST is invited to Paris to launch within the Ministry of Culture the future "Day of the INTERNET" wanted at this time by the government of Lionel Jospin to try to catch up had the FRANCE in this field of high technology computer compared to other European countries, and including the United States remained the "leader-ship" at this time ... from the INTERNET has become commonplace on the entire planet by connecting billions of men among themselves!

In December 1997 FRED FOREST me to go to Paris as they say, and I enter the circle small enough pioneers "surfers" makers and organizers of the "Fête de l'Internet" programmed all starts each year in the spring FRANCE (we are in his 15th year in 2013)!

Driving on my own in Nice, FRED FOREST is now in Paris, I created for the occasion by the year 2000 the Cultural Association "DIACOCYBER" not only for the organization of the Feast of the INTERNET, but also to promote PACA region new technologies that develop around the NET!

This adventure "DIACOCYBER" lasted until 2006, because unfortunately for financial reasons my team and myself will be forced after the Feast of the intenet spring 2006 to dissolve "DIACOCYBER" the government subsidies have been reduced not to say simply "sweet" to "DIACOCYBER" policies so thank you to ...

But fortunately INTERNET adventure does not stop there, and this time without the logistical and financial support of "Policies" which has always been here in Nice area have turned a deaf ear as well as to FRED FOREST myself, I continue thanks to the help of friends and local artists like myself a few volunteers to promote with our modest means the Feast of the INTERNET to Nice every year and the PACA region.
